Systems Engineer/Analyst to join our team to work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office Systems Engineering Team to produce system and software designs and develop engineering artifacts to support integration of new weapons and sensors into the existing IFMC architecture, including integration of the new Integrated Fires Protection Capability (IFPC).

Your day-to-day work will include:
  • Analyzing and designing new weapon and sensor interfaces into the Integrated Fire Control Network (IFCN).
  • Developing and allocating interface performance requirements.
  • Reviewing, analyzing, and contributing to the IFMC system model.
  • Providing engineering and/or design guidance to the Agile software development teams.
  • Developing technical briefings on recommended courses of action, trade studies, system and software design, performance, risks, and impacts to the mission.
We’re looking for candidates with direct expertise in a US weapon system, including IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS. The ability to “move out” with your designs, enthusiasm, independent critical thinking and a team attitude are important, as well as the ability to adapt to change in an Agile development environment. Please note, as part of the Government team you will be the design agent for IFMC; the prime contractor develops the code based upon YOUR government provided designs.

At a minimum you should have:
  • An active SECRET security clearance.
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences or mathematics, or Bachelors with directly related engineering or analysis experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years DoD experience.
  • Familiarity with AMD concepts and must have some software or hardware design experience.
  • Experience in at least ONE of the following areas:
    • Tactical command and control systems
    • Weapons or sensor systems
    • Embedded, real-time or near real-time software.
  • Specific knowledge and experience with ONE (1) or more of the following:
    • Combat Identification (CID)
    • Identify Friend or Foe (IFF)
    • Integrated Defense Design (IDD)
    • Link-16
    • Cyber
    • Automation of embedded testing
    • Direct IFPC experience.
  • Familiarity with object-oriented analysis and design.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office toolset and must be proficient navigating and extracting data from requirements databases (DOORs, etc).

You will be highly desirable if you have:
  • Familiarity with a Systems Modeling Language (SysML, UML) of some type and modeling tools (MagicDraw, Cameo).
