Service Team Member
Responsibilities During Service
1. Serve Dishes: Deliver plates from the kitchen to guests and provide a brief explanation of the dish.
2. Clear Plates: Collect finished plates and place them on the dish cart for transport to the dish area.
3. Refill Water: Refill water glasses as needed throughout service.
4. Handle Drink Orders: Remove empty glasses and ask if guests would like another drink. If requested, enter the order into the POS system and serve the drink.
5. Clear Courses: Once all guests have finished a course, transport plates to the dish area using the dish cart and wash dishes.
After Service Responsibilities
1. Complete Dishwashing: Finish washing all dishes and glasses, then return them to their designated places.
2. Clean Dining Room: Sanitize all surfaces and sweep the floor.
3. Clean Bathrooms: Replenish bathroom supplies and ensure the bathrooms are clean.
4. Manage Waste: Empty all garbage bins.
Schedule
Workdays: Wednesday to Saturday
Shift: 5:30 PM – 8:30/9:00 PM

2. Ability to interact professionally with guests in the spirit of aloha.
3. Authorized to work in the United States.
4. Must attend an in-person interview and be available for scheduled shifts.

The open kitchen allows guests to observe the preparation of courses, while the choice “Chef’s Counter” features four exclusive seats where guests can interact with the chef throughout their meal. Guests can select libations from a drink menu which includes premium sake, Japanese beer, and wine. Hale ‘Aina Award Winner "Best Kauaʻi, Restaurant" 2023 and 2024. We are currently offering a pre-fixe multi-course tasting menu to a maximum of 10 guests starting at 6pm each evening. This job features a calm and orderly work environment where attention to detail, presence, focus, and care are paramount.

1. Are you able to work Wed, Thu, Fri, and Sat from 5:30pm to 9:00pm on a reliable and consistent basis?
2. The compensation for this position is $14/hour plus tips on drink purchases. Tips on drink purchases are expected to be between $40-$100 per night. For a 3.5 hour shift, wages would be $49 and tips are estimated to be between $40-$100. Therefore, for a 3.5 hour shift, total compensation (hourly wage plus tips on drinks) is expected to be between $90-$150. All compensation, including tips, is given in accordance with the law through a payroll service and will be subject to taxes and deductions mandated by federal and state law. We do not pay wages or tips in cash or engage in tax avoidance or other illegal payment strategies. A service charge is added to food purchases, and you will not receive this service charge. The amounts described here represent gross pay before legally mandated deductions. Is this compensation acceptable to you?
3. Do you have an active Blue Card with the Liquor Commission? If not, would you be willing to obtain one?
4. Do you have a Food Handler Card? If not, would you be willing to obtain one?
5. This job begins on Nov 13. Will you be available to start working on that date and will you be able to work consistently through mid-January including holidays that occur on Wed, Thu, Fri, or Sat?
