Facility Maintenance/Management Specialist
Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and knowledgeable individual to join our team as a Facility Maintenance/Management Specialist at a reputable trucking company. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, organized, independent worker with experience in facility maintenance and general upkeep. The role involves a variety of responsibilities to ensure that the company’s facilities are safe, well-maintained, clean, and organized.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform regular landscaping tasks, including lawn care, tree trimming, weed mitigation, and seasonal maintenance.
Oversee building maintenance, ensuring all systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) are functioning properly.
Ensure that the facility, including office spaces, restrooms, and common areas are kept up.
Manage repairs and preventative maintenance for the building and surrounding property.
Coordinate with external contractors or vendors when necessary for specialized services or larger projects.
Ensure safety protocols and regulations are adhered to in all maintenance activities.
Monitor inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies and place orders as needed.
Handle other tasks as assigned to maintain a safe, clean, and functional work environment.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in facility maintenance, property management, or a related field.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and ability to work with internal teams as well as external vendors.
Basic knowledge of landscaping and groundskeeping techniques.
Ability to perform light to moderate physical labor and lift items up to 50 lbs.
Familiarity with basic building maintenance (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) is a plus.
