Position Summary:The primary focus of this position is to provide Tier II support for IT Operations team. The Application Support Analyst will partner with our internal IT department, internal and external customers to assist in problem resolution, documenting issues and customer testing. This is a technical, client-facing role that requires superior customer service skills. The Applications Support Analyst will work with all levels within the organization and will play a vital role in the overall success of the IT Operations team. Duties may include any or all of the following.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage support tickets in Microsoft Service Manager.
  • Train Service Desk Staff.
  • Monitor all supported systems through the use of real time monitoring tools.
  • Proactively identify, report, track, document and communicate errors and potential issues.
  • Provide support for all supported Systems issues across both production and test environments.
  • Provide both oral and written status updates to internal and external customers.
  • Prioritize project work and support issues based on customer impact and severity.
  • Help identify and define new features and enhancements to extend our supported systems.
  • Work closely with the project delivery team (including internal/external customers, developers. QA & project managers) to communicate customer requirements and to deliver updates into production.
  • Work with Internal/external Stakeholders to review Support model/processes and update them as needed.

Requirements for Position:
  • 4+ years of experience in an organized software support environment, preferably Tier II/III Support.
  • Strong passion and desire for application support as well as process improvement.
  • Good understanding of SDLC methodology and principles.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong desire to learn new systems and technologies.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills; ability to document ideas concisely and quickly.
  • Ability to communicate technical information and interact with many different skill sets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to take ownership of an issue or project and the dedication to see it through to completion.
  • Ability to work independently and make timely decisions in alignment with business goals.
  • Ability to drive change and process improvement in a loosely structured environment.

Qualifications:
  • In depth knowledge of MS-SQL/Oracle and ability to understand and modify existing SQL queries and/or creation of new SQL queries.
  • Linux experience / Unix experience preferred.
  • System and Data Analysis experience is preferred.
  • High Jump or Warehouse Management System experience is desired.
  • Must work well under pressure and have a desire to learn.

Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
