Information Technology Specialist

Description SAIC is looking for an IT specialist for its Research & Development activities in support of FAA human factors and air traffic control systems. This exciting position supports assessing new technology for the National Airspace System. It Involves managing an array of Microsoft Windows Servers, as well as lab PC's. Activities include prototype development, research, test beds and assessments of simulations Full-time positions are in support of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) at the FAA Technical Center. Qualifications MINIMUM TANGIBLE QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's degree in an IT related field and 10 years of experience or a Master's degree and 7 years of experience • Windows server 2003, 2008, 2012 administration - MCSA. • Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows 7 • Design and Implement Active Directory (Group Policy skills a must) • Design, implement and troubleshooting GPO's • Installing and configuring 3rd party applications PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Windows permissions • Troubleshooting Cisco network and Windows systems • Third party tools such as SNMPc, Cisco Network Assistant, Cisco ASDM • VLAN configurations • Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills • PowerShell and VB scripting • DNS configuration • DHCP configuration • Vmware EXSI 4 • Hyper-V • Basic Linux commands • Tape Backup systems • Backup software such as Symantec Backup Exec and or Unitrends • LMTOOLS for license server management • MS SQL server 2005, 2008 and 2012 Job Qualifications: Master's Degree in related technical or management discipline and 5 years of experience in the above duties.
