Sous Chef/Line Cook
Busy neighborhood scratch kitchen, Pino's Contemporary Italian Restaurant and Wine Bar is looking for a strong line cook. We have 20+ years in business. We are an OpenTable Diners Choice restaurant with a long, successful history of food and wine.
Experience is preferred in scratch cooking with classic techniques including grill and saute.
The candidate should have a proven, strong background in food
You can follow and execute recipes, procedures.
The candidate should be able to coordinate and expedite with other stations for proper timing of plates to guests.
Shares culinary knowledge and experience with fellow team members.
The successful candidate has the emotional discipline to work under high volume periods
You must understand FIFO, safe food handling procedures, and be responsible for cleaning/maintaining your station.
It's a PLUS if you have your own knives
Full time is 40 hours per week for hourly.
The work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday evenings with two days off but requires availability for private events and catering. The restaurant is closed on all Major Holidays including Christmas Eve/Day, New Years Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day. The restaurant also closes each year for a two week vacation.
