Company :Highmark HealthJob Description :JOB SUMMARYThis job supports the design & execution of the company's strategic planning process, the development and execution of key strategic initiatives for the organization, and supports strategic activities for the organization. The incumbent will be responsible for a range of responsibilities based on given project to include, but not limited to, elements of project management, problem-solving, data analytics, communication and implementation. Assists in the development of strategy for initiatives, assists leadership in defining organizational strategy across the portfolio of the business, and identify new opportunities providing insights and recommendations based on qualitative and quantitative research and analysis. The incumbent will be responsible for multiple projects including internal department-specific activities and cross-functional projects, as well as working with individuals external to the business and company.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with business owners to manage projects applying the right framework/methodology to develop, communicate and execute on appropriate work plans. Develop, communicate and implement solutions to meet the needs of the business. Organize and coordinate cross-divisional / cross-departmental activities to focus resources on the successful delivery of the desired results for the engagement.Negotiate project deliverables, anticipate impacts and propose solutions. Research and analyze complex business processes or system applications and adhere to standards and procedures. Monitor progress and ensure key stakeholders are informed re: progress, potential barriers and outcomes; perform corrective action to maintain the viability, relevance and timeliness of the work. Develop plan to proactively communicate each solution to all stakeholders. Facilitate stakeholder acceptance of engagement deliverables.
Contribute to the development of business and functional strategies through the preparation of clear, well-written analysis and materials for strategic planning discussions and project meetings with little supervision. Analyses may include, but are not limited to, market analysis, competitor intelligence and financial modeling to support strategic projects as needed. Work with department management to identify and develop new strategic initiatives.Work with department management to track status of strategic initiatives, developing and/or completing templates to report on progress of department initiatives. Prepare and distribute a monthly status report of all department initiatives.For assigned initiatives, identify roadblocks to successful implementation and execute strategies to ensure that project is implemented successfully.Prepare employee communications to disseminate yearly strategic plans across the business, developing visuals and preparing employee updates as needed to report out on results.
Execute and implement key strategic initiatives across the business unit. Specific responsibilities may vary depending on initiative, but will include elements of project management, problem-solving, data analyses, communication and implementation.
Work with department management to identify the components of departmental leadership dashboards for executive level reporting. Continuously assess changes needed to the existing report as business needs dictate. Support leadership team by routinely collecting the information, compiling/storing and distributing required reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.Routinely monitor performance trends and alert management staff as needed.Support quarterly business review meetings, developing templates, collecting data/information, preparing for meetings and executing meetings.
Support key departmental activities to increase employee engagement, including developing and executing projects related to Core Behaviors Survey Action Planning

EDUCATIONRequired
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare, Marketing, Finance, Economics or related field or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor’s degree
Preferred
Master's Degree in Business Administration/Management, Health Administration or Public Health
EXPERIENCERequired
3 years of experience in strategic planning, project management, process improvement, data analysis and reporting, and/or other relevant experience
Preferred
3 years of experience in Health Care Industry
3 years of experience in Consulting
