Line Cook Job Description & Responsibilities
Reports to: Kitchen Manager and/or Executive Chef
We believe that the preparation of food and feeding people is an act of humanity. We take very seriously the trust our guests put in us to prepare them food in a safe and thoughtful manner. Cooks are responsible for the preparation of all menu items, covering two meal periods and special event orders. Line Cooks and Prep Cooks work with the Executive Chef and Kitchen Manager to deliver the highest quality meals to our guests.

-Line cooks must have at least 1 year working in a full service restaurant, or a culinary degree; Prep cooks should have basic knife skills and a knowledge of basic cookery
-The ability to take constructive criticism and follow direction
-The ability to multi-task and prioritize with a sense of urgency
-Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while at work
-Strong communication and listening skills
-A sense of pride in a clean workspace
-Ability to work respectfully and collaboratively with all teammates
-An ability to lift approximately 50 pounds, and stand for long periods.
-An ability to work at least 25 hours per week
