Now hiring for an Entry Level Civil Designer

Pacific Community Design has an immediate opening for a Civil Designer. As a Civil Designer, you will work directly with a team leader to complete projects assigned by the Project Manager. Using your experience and knowledge of engineering software you will support the Project Manager and Engineers through all phases of project development.

Responsibilities, Tasks, Authority:

- Responsible for providing a full range of drawing and model production work including problem analysis, design layout, and calculations on non-routine assignments of substantial variety and complexity

- Utilize AutoCAD and Civil3D for design and utilize other design software for complex calculations and reporting

- Maintain accuracy with design calculations and responsible for researching various agency design standards to ensure compliance with the regulating jurisdictions

- With direction, support the creation and plotting of the planning and construction documents with an eye on accuracy

- Demonstrate comfort in seeking answers and current information on jurisdictional or agency websites

- Demonstrate PCD’s values of building long-term relationships by focusing on mutual respect and integrity in all we do.

Qualifications:

- This is an entry level position and requires a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering

- Growing familiarity with Microsoft Office and Civil 3D

- Understand the basics of engineering principles, including transportation design, hydraulics, and hydrology

- Clear written and oral communication skills, demonstrate effective, open, and honest communication with co-workers, supervisors, and work-related contacts

- Actively seek to understand the project goals, scope, deliverables, expectations, and due date from the Project Manager
