Day shift, Full-Time
7:00am - 3:30pm
Monday- Friday w/ rotating weekends and holidays among team
Area: Central Processing
Location: Maywood, IL
About the JobIn this role, the Lab Support Service Tech (Central Processing) will support the delivery of patient care through the receipt, processing, and routing of specimens. Provides customer friendly service to any person requesting supplies or information by phone, computer or in person.Here's What you will do
Performs assigned duties from the pre-analytical to post-analytical phases of testing according to standard operating procedures. Receives and evaluates all specimens to ensure positive identification and appropriateness of sample. Works with fellow team members to properly triage and efficiently move samples through all phases of testing.
Here is what you will needRequired:
High School Diploma
Specimen processing and handling, accessioning, clinical lab, and/or other relevant lab or clinical experience.
Experience in a hospital or laboratory setting
Keyboard/data entry experience
Required Skills:
Requires telephone skills.
Requires basic computer skills
Requires strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member including outside of lab
Requires ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time.
