HVAC Licensed Technician (Residential & Commercial)

HVAC service technicians for our company work primarily in residential settings in The Farmington Valley, to install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.

HVAC technicians must be familiar with mechanical systems, electricity, tools of the trade, and all safety protocols. We are looking to hire individuals who are effective communicators and lifelong learners.

Installation: Follow specifications, and manufacturer instructions to install HVAC equipment like boilers, water heaters, baseboard heat, fan coils, radiant heat, furnaces, heat pumps, ventilation systems, and refrigeration units. This may also require installation of components like compressors, motors, piping, and ducts.

Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks and warranty work to ensure systems are operating safely and efficiently. This may include cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions, electrical and mechanical faults, and leaks.

Energy efficiency: Perform upgrades to improve energy efficiency, such as installing smart thermostats or sealing ducts.

Communication: Discuss options with customers about their HVAC needs.

Requirements:

HVAC license plus 2+ years of hands-on field experience.

Customer facing communication skills.

Technicians must have a clean driving record (minor infractions will be considered).

Technicians must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
