They collaborate with various stakeholders to understand technical requirements, create robust solutions, and ensure the integrity, security, and performance of the application infrastructure. This includes having the strong ability to look around the corner at emerging technologies and advise senior leadership around the strategic technical vision for the domain. The Lead Architect role is crucial for organizations aiming to leverage effectively for strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.

Accountabilities include:
Define and execute architectural strategies aligned with project objectives.
Lead and supervise architectural initiatives within assigned projects or areas.
Develop architectural designs and solutions, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices.
Mentor and guide junior and senior architects in project-related tasks and skill development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver effective architectural solutions.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with stakeholders, including business analysts, data engineers, IT teams, and management, to understand needs and drive alignment with business and development teams.
Technology Evaluation and Implementation: Assess new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance application processes and recommend their adoption where applicable.
Architecture and design reviews: Play a key leadership role in architecture design reviews and identify gaps and recommend design changes. Actively lead and participate in the Architecture community to drive modernization opportunities for Healthcare Business Unit while keeping in mind the complexities of our IT landscape.
Required Qualifications
5+ years working as Solution architect or in a similar role.
7+ years in design/development experience in Java, .Net or other modern tech stack.
Effective at sharing information verbally and in writing while simultaneously tailoring information and key points to different audiences. Champions technical decisions by framing rationale, potential benefits & risk etc. in terms of the business.
Tackles complex technical issues, analyzing root causes and implementing effective solutions.
Proactively and regularly develops and document best practices
Proactively identifies technical gaps, risks, mitigations, pain-points and implements appropriate solutions with appropriate urgency.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions (Azure, GCP, Snowflake) and their associated services is often preferred.
Facilitates adoption of cloud-native/cloud-first architectures.
Familiarity with Mainframe technologies
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Salesforce/Health Cloud enterprise implementation is a PLUS.
Experience/certification in one or more cloud platform (GCP, Azure & AWS) is preferred.
Experience in large scale migration efforts from legacy technology/Asset to a modern/new Asset is preferred.
Experience and exposure in Legacy Mainframe technologies like COBOL, DB2, IDMS etc. is a PLUS
Education
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, information systems or related field or equivalent experience required
Masters Degree in Computer Science, information systems or related field or equivalent experience preferred
Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:$130,295.00 - $260,590.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
