We are proud to offer an extensive and iconic portfolio of highly recognizable, sustainably sourced, and conveniently packaged branded beverages distributed across more than 150,000 retail outlets.Job DescriptionThe Lead Fleet Mechanic's primary purpose is to oversee the Fleet Shop, Technicians and ensure completion of preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment including gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, air brakes, tankers, and trailers.Reporting Location: Lakewood, NJSchedule: Monday - Friday, 12:00 pm - 8:30 pmCompensation: $40.00 / hour + 6%-8% of base hourly rate shift differential paid for applicable hours workedBenefits: Medical, prescription, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, company discounts, paid vacation, and much more! Program and record assigned preventative maintenance tasks
Assisting in education of the Route Sales Representatives' pre and post-trip inspections
Ensure parts are billed out in electronic and proprietary systems
Record all repair work in Trimble TMT electronic maintenance system and on company PM Cards
Order, receive, and stock parts and supplies for Fleet Shop as needed
Timely processing of invoices using a company P-Card or PO
Coordinate and manage multiple outside support vendors as needed
Oversee Fleet Technicians, shop workload and Fleet Shop Repair performance KPI targets
When applicable, schedule and assign Technician's work assignments and daily tasks
Coordinate Fleet with internal partners and Fleet Technicians
Manage costs according to budget and daily completion of repairs
Ensure DOT and Safety, Health, and Environmental compliance standards are met
Prepare end of month reporting and/or any other administrative requirements
Qualifications
Minimum of seven years’ experience performing vehicle maintenance
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
Accredited vocational / trade school certification preferred
Ability to handle physical requirements, including, but not limited to, repeated bending, stretching, twisting, and lifting up to 60 pounds in all work conditions (indoor and outdoor), with or without a reasonable accommodation
A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Ability to secure and maintain a CDL Class B with airbrake endorsement within specified period
Ability to secure and maintain T4 (airbrake) certification within specified period
Must possess professional tools to perform required tasks for the position
Self-motivated and capable of working independently without direct supervision
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, Electronic Diagnostic Tools, and Electronic Maintenance Database applications
Strong customer service and communication skills
