Job Title: Shipping and Receiving SpecialistJob DescriptionCandidate will be working in the shipping/receiving department. We are seeking someone who is fast-paced and works with a purpose. The ideal candidate should be adaptable to different situations, have good problem-solving skills, and possess creative thinking abilities. Leadership experience is a must, as well as the ability to train and work closely with other team members to accomplish goals. The current team consists of one other person, but we hope to grow this department in the future. The role also includes assisting with receiving duties.Responsibilities
Utilize a warehouse management system for daily planning and shipments.
Communicate with the scheduling department to arrange trucks for pick-ups.
Perform custom packaging for outgoing shipments, which includes cutting boards to custom lengths to support and reinforce loads.
Use tools such as pneumatic bander, screw gun, hammer, and tape measure (must be able to read a tape measure and pass a tape measure test).
Approximately 70% of the day is dedicated to custom packaging, with the remaining 30% focused on material shipping/receiving duties (subject to change based on orders).
