Hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Must be flexible to meet current and future business needs. Pay: Starting Salary: $172,500 Pay Range: $152,694 - $192,497Belong to something bigger. This position is a pro-active business partner focused on strategic decision making and working with clients in a collaborative culture. The role is accountable for providing primary legal guidance to the Credit Union and its subsidiaries in a consistent, accurate and timely manner. The individual in this role must become familiar with the products and services offered by the Credit Union and its subsidiaries and the requirements applicable to the financial institution and includes anticipating operational issues that may arise as a result of new legislation or modifications to existing legislation. The role is responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts on behalf of the organization. In addition to other responsibilities and providing general legal guidance, this role provides specialized substantive guidance to assigned functional areas across the Credit Union and its subsidiaries. Juris Doctor degree required

Admission to practice law in New York and member in good standing with the New York Bar

Minimum of 5 years of legal experience

Capacity and willingness to take on multiple responsibilities

Strong business judgment and strategic thinking

Ability and willingness to manage multiple tasks, exercise good business judgment and work accurately and timely under pressure.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a corporate legal department or as an in-house legal generalist

Demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively with partners, colleagues, clients, and peers
