Associate Patient Care Coordinator
Description We are offering a contract-to-hire opportunity as an Associate Patient Care Coordinator in Heath, Texas. The Associate Patient Care Coordinator role is an onsite position. Responsibilities: Welcome patients upon arrival and manage the wait time efficiently. Assist patients with the intake process, which includes copying necessary documents. Handle co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles, issuing receipts accordingly. Oversee the cashier box and manage daily deposits in accordance with company policies. Process walk-in patients and visitors while effectively handling phone calls and scheduling appointments. Manage medical records, maintain files and scans, and prepare schedules. Ensure all correspondence is scanned and/or filed in a timely manner. Process requests for medical records release and maintain appropriate logs. Utilize effective communication and customer service skills to address patient inquiries. Maintain accurate data entry and familiarity with medical office procedures and medical terminology.Requirements High school graduate or GED required. One to two years of related work experience including data entry. Working knowledge of medical office procedures and medical terminology. Ability to accurately sort and file materials by alphabetic or numeric systems Effective communication and customer service skills required.
