Shift Manager

Job Summary: This position performs, leads, and supervises basic operational duties toprovide quality products and service to guests.Essential Duties:Perform, lead, and supervise station duties (fountain & frozen, dresser, front swamp,back swamp, grill, switchboard, expeditor, food prep, and drive-thru (if applicable)) asassigned to meet operational and quality standards.Ensures team is working to capacity and meeting speed of service standardsCoaches and trains crew members on tasks.Comply with all company policies, procedure, and operational standards.Assist with new employee orientation and training.Report customer or employee complaints/issues to MODPerform, lead, and supervise regular cleaning and sanitation duties – including trashdisposal, mopping, sweeping, washing dishes and food preparation tools, wipingcounters, sanitizing food preparation areas, cleaning equipment, and emptying usedgrease – pursuant to operational standards.Regular attendance.Additional Duties:Lead shift meetingsMove and stock food product weighing up to 50 pounds.Perform other job-related duties as assigned or required.Required Skills/Abilities:General restaurant or retail knowledgeBasic math and reading skills.Effective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to follow directions.Multi-tasking skills, decision-making, leadership, time-management, and conflict-resolution skillsEducation/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Time/Shift Expectations: Minimum of 30 hours per week; irregular hours, nights; weekends;and holidaysPhysical Requirements/Working Conditions: Continuous standing, bending, reaching,moving, stooping, stretching, and lifting in a restaurant environment; frequent exposure to heatand hot liquid shortening while cooking; frequent exposure to freezer when stocking fooditems; occasional exposure to extreme temperatures based on variable weather conditions.Company IntroductionHere at SONIC Drive-in, our priority isn’t just great service, it’s great experiences.
