We are looking to add a serverto our Cypress Dining Room team at Lake Merced Golf Club in Daly City. As a private, members-only club, we pride ourselves in offering outstanding hospitality to our members and guests in a warm and professional atmosphere. We hope to add both a passionate and self-motivated server to our team. We've reopened our course after an extensive renovation and are seeking staff who will share our enthusiasm to be a part of this new phase of our 100-year-old club. What we are Looking for: An ideal candidate will be an organized and detail-oriented person, who takes pleasure in providing warm, hospitable experiences to our members and guests. We are small team in the dining room, so teamwork and a desire to help everyone is a must! Our restaurant is open Tues-Sunfor lunch and early evening bar menu, as well as dinner on Thursday and Friday nights. We have a full beverage menucraft cocktails, beer, a full wine list. We also regularly hold private dinners, events and banquets here at LMGC and our dining room staff often works with our event staff as a part of their regular schedule, so there’s lots of opportunity to be present here at the Club. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Must be able to follow directions and communicate with managers and fellow front of house staff. Strong attention to detail with impeccable service standards. Understands dietary concerns as well as common food allergies and is able to communicate those needs and requests with kitchen staff and management Ability to remember and carry out all instructions. Checks in with fellow staff and managers to ensure guest satisfaction. Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned such as cleaning kitchen, beverage stations, returning all supplies to storage areas, cleaning the front area of the kitchen and service hallway, etc. Ability to find additional work to do during “slow times” (i.e. getting a head start on closing duties, polishing silverware and glasses for the next event, folding napkins for the next event, deep cleaning areas utilized by event staff, preparing for next meal course, assisting other event staff, etc.). Ability to clearly communicate with F&B Department Managers of other job or school schedules. Employee must give two weeks’ notice of a request for time off or a change to an existing school or work schedule.
