Veterinary Rehab Technician

Our Rehabilitation Department is looking for an experienced rehabilitation technician to join our growing practice! Our rehabilitation technicians perform most of our patient treatments and develop close relationships with clients. An excellent opportunity for a veterinary technician or veterinary assistant with interest in physical rehabilitation. Our wonderful Rehabilitation team is willing to train the right person.The Rehabilitation Technician is routinely entrusted with patient assessments, procedures, and treatments. The Rehabilitation Technician must be a detail-oriented person who can make good decisions and maintain high standards of patient care. Rehabilitation Technicians need to communicate clearly with the rehabilitation doctors, client services team, and the other rehabilitation staff to ensure that patients receive the care that they need.Duties include controlling patients using fear free techniques, assisting with rehabilitation therapies (laser, acupuncture, underwater treadmill therapy, therapeutic exercise, etc.), assisting with orthosis development/assessment, scheduling appointments, accurate electronic medical record keeping, filling prescriptions, maintaining inventory, hospital keeping duties, equipment maintenance and other duties as assigned. This position requires the candidate to be able to help lift large disabled dogs, stand for long periods of time and be on the floor with patients.
