Cardiovascular Laboratory Supplies Preference Surgical or General Medical Supplies spend strategy.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborating with the category leader develops RFX and contracting strategies for specified categories of spend to meet or exceed planned category goalsManages a category-specific portfolio of CHI agreements and is the enterprise expert on the relevant HPG portfolio for that categoryLeads all category RFI / RFP processes; prepares complex solicitations and reviews specialized and / or non-routine proposals bids and contract modifications.Drafts and manages negotiation plans finalizes contracts with vendorsAbility to manages internal communications across category team and work with key stakeholders (. legal finance operations) collaborativelyHave a general understanding of the business case and an appreciation of financial / analytical issues. Works closely with the Data Analytics team for data needs and data collection effortsAnalyzes significant and / or unique contract requirements special provisions working with legal to ensure terms and conditions are compliant with appropriate laws regulations and corporate policies and business unit proceduresManages supplier performance and leads quarterly business review processes including evaluating vendor compliance with contracts and enforcing vendor rebates; resolves vendor product or service issuesCollaborates with contract support center of excellence to manage pipeline of contract expirationsQualificationsMinimum QualifcationsEducationA bachelor’s degree in Accounting Finance or Business / Healthcare Administration is required with graduate level education preferred.ExperienceMinimum of three years of contracting and or supply chain experience with evidence of progressive increasing responsibility.Experience with and literate in supply chain computer applications Microsoft Office applications and user knowledge of each to achieve Supply Chain goals.Proven negotiation capabilityFamiliarity with supplier contracting and procurement processesDemonstrated process and project managementGeneral knowledge of healthcare operations and medical device industry issuesAnalytical and financial skillsAbility to communicate clearly and effectivelyPossesses good organizational and task-oriented capabilitiesExcellent oral written skills and presentation skillsDemonstrates leadership presence and maintains confidentialityPossesses developed interpersonal skills to work in a high profile and fast paced team environmentAbility to manage several projects simultaneously within established timelines
