API Gateway Systems Engineer (REMOTE) Industry: Retail Location: REMOTE Pay: Negotiable Based on Experience Responsibilities: • Design, build, maintain and support the CA API Gateway infrastructure • Help establish the model of Platform As A Service (PAAS) for our team • Automate a lot of the manual tasks the team work on to achieve the goal of establishing the Platform As A Service • Design and implement API Gateway solutions • Lead analytical and consulting working sessions to solve technical problems faced by the application teams trying to onboard the CA API Gateway • Help troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to the CA API Gateway. • Ensure documentation is created and remain updated for CA Gateway related work • Perform production support tasks such as, investigating the production job failures and analysis of the production jobs. • Troubleshoot and resolve incident and problem tickets related to the API Gateway • Actively monitor and resolve alerts from monitoring of application health in terms of load, throughput, performance etc., using tools like Dynatrace, Elastic Search, Kibana, SiteScope and Grafana. • Follow, review, maintain and enhance SOP based service requests across in scope applications • Participate in triages for priority incidents as requested • Conduct issue analysis and provide RCA as requested • Provide recommendations for bug fixes or improvements working with the manager for review and coordination • Periodically analyze identify recurring issue and provide recommendations or fixes • Setup the software server (CA API gateway) • Performance tune CA API Gateway environments • Support CA API Gateway DEV, TEST, QA and PROD • Installation and backup of CA API Portal • Manage Keys and Certificate • Manage MySQL configuration • Modify Gateway replication • Produce operation process documents • Assist technical support as required in troubleshooting issues • Provide go-live support • Provide API gateway best practices and drive adoption • Create reusable components • Automate deployments of Gateway and Portal • Develop migration strategies and implement scripts using Gateway Migration Utility (GMU).Qualifications: • 4 - 6 years of experience supporting the CA API Gateway Platform • Java/J2EE, JSP, XML, JSON, Ansible • Hands on experience with CA API Gateway, Layer7, Oauth 2.0, Gateway Migration Utility and CA API Portal • Oracle, SQL Server, MYSQL, Cassandra experience • Strong troubleshooting skills in the API Management and Gateway space. • CA API Gateway Knowledge Infrastructure build and maintenance, Gateway setup, Oauth configuration • Knowledge on Policy creation /Template development and operational support within CA API Gateway. • Familiarity to read/write code snippets/scripts in Java, JavaScript, Python to create custom Policies • Strong understanding of UNIX operating systems and shell scripting • Experience with CICD Tools (Jenkins, GitHub) • Good understanding of REST API and JSON • Knowledge of existing API Testing Tools (Postman, SoapUI, or any equivalent tools) • Experience with high availability, load balancing and failover configurations • Experience in designing and implementing API platform for high traffic API solutions • Ability to apply security, throttling, OAuth 2.0, TLS, certificates, KeyStore, and Trust store • Have previously worked on an enterprise platform team that supports multiple Software Development product teams • Bachelor s Degree in related field or sufficient prior experiencesEEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
