CRI Advantage is looking for Web Designer/Web Applications Support Consultant to work for a customer that requires support in all phases of web application support, including site creation, requirements gathering and analysis, system design, prototype advancement, website design, configuration control, testing, software quality assurance, and website maintenance. The work is a long term contract for our Department of Energy client. Local candidates to Knoxville/Oak Ridge is preferred, however remote work may be considered.Specific duties include but are not limited to:Design, create, implement, administer, and improve internal and external web presence for customer's scientific user facilities.The ability and skills to build websites dynamically, this will require the knowledge of using web services to pull in various data from external resources and the use of advance website tools. Examples include but are not limited to: as PHP, JavaScript, JQuery, NodeJS, HTML5, CSS, SQL, and Oracle.Monitor and report web statistics and data for metrics analysis.Create and advance the implementation of the customer's visually aesthetic and appropriate graphics for web-based products.Incorporate excellence in design of navigational organization, usability, and accessibility of the website.Ensure website compatibility with customer-specified browsers and platforms.Ensure website conforms to customer's branding guidelines.Assist in translating ideas into aesthetically pleasing and accurate graphics with an attention to detail.Attend customer scientific meetings to determine needs and priorities and meet deadlines as specific by a client or manager.Ensure compliance with environment, safety, health, and quality program requirements.Maintain strong commitment to the implementation and perpetuation of values and ethics.Interface with customer communications staff to ensure websites are aligned with our communication strategy.
RequirementsPossess experience or knowledge of the following skills: PHP, JavaScript, JQuery, NodeJS, HTML5, CSS, SQL, and Oracle.BA or BFA in Graphic Design, Web Design or other related design discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience2+ years of digital graphic design experience requiredMust be and be able to pass a government background checkEmployee Job Functions Employee Job Functions are physical actions and/or working conditions associated with the position.
