Job DescriptionData Scientist, Radiology Excellent opportunity available at MSK. TheDepartment of Radiologyis seeking aData Scientist. Work in an exciting interdisciplinary environment with the potential to directly affect medical research, cancer care, and patients’ lives. You will aid in the clinical assessment and understanding of cancer. Role Overview:
Use advanced mathematical and statistical concepts and theories to analyze and collect data and construct solutions to business problems.
Perform complex statistical analysis on experimental or business data to validate and quantify trends or patterns identified by business analysts.
Construct predictive models, algorithms and probability engines to support data analysis or product functions; verify model and algorithm effectiveness based on real-world results.
Design experiments and methodologies to generate and collect data for business use.
Projects may include a focus on “quantitative finance” or help identify new business opportunities .
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
Strong knowledge and background in deep learning, computer vision, and/or medical imaging.
Experience in high performance computing (HPC).
Core Skills:
Professional with applicable knowledge and some actionable experience.
Works effectively on tasks/outputs and is able to actively contribute.
Operates defined tasks/outputs and responsibilities.
Understands technical discussions at the 'task level'.
Ability to excel working both independently and within a team, possessing a collaborative research mindset allowing them to work comfortably together with radiologists, and computer scientists.
Additional Information:
Location: Main Hospital, 1275 York Avenue in Manhattan.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9 am – 5 pm
Reporting to the Body Imaging Chief of the Department of Radiology
Hybrid or Remote is an option for this position.
Pay Range: 108,400.00-$173,400.00/annually
