We help farmers deliver the best possible outcomes, working to achieve the balance between economic, environmental, and social value creation for sustainable and efficient agriculture.As a Senior Trial Technician, you will independently organize, set up, and execute trials as defined by the Product Specialist for specific areas and crops for our Vegetable Seeds team. You will ensure effective crop management to complete trial cycles without incidents, coordinating selection and evaluation with the necessary personnel. Additionally, you will oversee the evaluation and communication of trial program results for your area and crop expertise.As a Senior Trial Technician - Acampo, CA, you create chemistry by
Designing, planning, and coordinating the trial schedule for a specific area and/or crops of expertise in close cooperation with the Product Specialist.
Monitoring, setting up, and executing the trials for a specific area and/or crops of expertise in collaboration with the Product Specialist.
Collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and documenting yield data from trials autonomously, and informing the Product Specialist of the findings.
Demonstrating and informing the Product Specialist about the results of trials and new competitor varieties.
Organizing and coordinating meetings with all involved parties to facilitate decision-making regarding trials.
Coordinating and communicating the trial schedule to the Product Specialist and Farm Manager, providing them with technical advice to meet agreed standards, timelines, and budgets.
If you
High school diploma, required. Bachelor's degree in agriculture or a related field, preferred.
2 years of crop trial experience, preferred
Working knowledge of databases and statistics to ensure accurate data entry into digital tools
Possess the ability to program, organize, and communicate.
Are a team worker, analytical and a good observer.
Able to travel up to 30% travel, regionally
