The ideal candidate will excel in influencing and collaborating across functions. This role is crucial in supporting the governance and administration of quarterly and annual sales incentive compensation, as well as company bonus programs.What you’ll do as the Compensation Specialist: The requirements above below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Assist in designing, implementing, and administering the company’s compensation programs, including salary structures, bonus plans, and incentive programs, ensuring alignment with industry benchmarks and regulatory compliance.

Collaborate with the Recruiting team to ensure competitive and equitable compensation packages for potential hires.

Evaluate and classify positions within the existing compensation structure by understanding the scope of responsibilities and influence.

Partner with regional and global compensation partners on compensation issues and special projects as needed.

Provide guidance to the business and develop creative solutions on various total compensation issues, including setting appropriate pay levels, base pay, and annual incentive pay.

Consult with the DR of Global Compensation on job evaluations using market data and internal evaluation.

Assist in the creation and distribution of compensation plans.

Assist in the calculation of commission and bonus payouts.

Compliance Management:

Ensure all compensation programs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, particularly those relevant to the financial services sector.

Employee Communication:

Develop clear communication materials to explain compensation and benefits programs to employees, providing guidance and addressing any questions.

Communicate compensation changes and policies to employees, managers, and stakeholders.

Provide training and guidance to foster an understanding of compensation programs and processes.

Address and resolve any commission or compensation plan design-related inquiries.

Process Improvement:

Assist in reviewing and improving existing compensation processes, ensuring efficiency and alignment with the company’s strategic goals.

Conduct proactive competitive analysis and recommend program enhancements as necessary in line with job architecture and market trends.

Document processes and build compensation playbooks.

What you will bring to the team:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales compensation design and implementation.

Strong knowledge of compensation strategy and relevant employment laws.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.

Experience with global compensation is highly desired

Qualified candidates can expect a salary range of $90,000 - $115,000. Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Washington area market rates.
