Carpenter for high performance construction

Alger Brook Design Build is seeking a full time carpenter. The key skills that we are looking for are:

- Ability to construct light residential framing from construction drawings.

- Skill and experience with basic trim work (interior/exterior) and siding.

- Drywall taping and mudding.

- Most important: enthusiasm for high quality construction and ability to work with a passionate team of co-workers.

The ideal candidate will have at least a few years of experience in residential construction, either as a laborer or apprentice carpenter, and will see this as an opportunity to take a step up with more responsibility and room to grow and learn. People of color, trans and gender-nonconforming people, people from poor and working class backgrounds, people in the LGBTQ+ community, and women are strongly encouraged to apply.

Pay is in the range of $20 - $25 per hour, depending on experience and skill level. Includes a tool allowance, paid vacation days, as well as sick/weather days.

Our jobs are located within 30 minute radius of our shop in South Strafford.
