Job Title: Hardscapes Crew Leader

Job Type: Full-Time Salary

Pay Range: $60,000 - $68,000

Job Overview:

Total Grounds is a thriving professional landscape company and is seeking the right candidate for a Hardscape Crew Leader. The Hardscape Crew Leader is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising and coordinating the day-to-day activities of a hardscape crew. Responsibilities include leading a team in the installation of various outdoor elements, such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other hardscape features. This position will also support snow operations in the winter.

Key Responsibilities:

Extensive understanding of Hardscape skills and techniques, including reading and executing elements of plans, following state guidelines and other necessary parameters.

Display a high level of communication and professionalism when working with other team members, clients/job representatives and subcontractors.

Understand project scope well enough to plan ahead and communicate future potential issues to proactively avoid.

Lead and motivate multiple person crews on assigned job sites to work efficiently and within estimated budgets of hours and materials.

Manage crew by assigning daily and weekly tasks and expectations while onsite.

Ability to provide guidance and training to meet Total Grounds level of quality and craftsmanship while maintaining high safety standards.

Work closely with division Project Managers to ensure smooth execution and efficient production of assigned projects.

Maintain an efficient and organized job site.

Manage routine inspections and maintenance on field equipment.

Manage snow removal division in the winter season, plow experience preferable.

Required Qualifications:

3+ years experience in a hardscape industry leadership role

Strong communication skills

Ability to read and execute plans; drafted to conceptual

Understanding material cost, labor, and time

Valid Driver’s license and medcard

Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor as needed and lift 50+ pounds.

Operator experience - heavy equipment: skid steer, loader, excavator

Comfort with technology

Experience in snow operations; plowing preferred

Experience with industry software and ability to learn new programs. (Ex. Google workspace, Aspire, etc)
