Apprentice Electrician

Short Electric is looking for 2-year-plus electrical apprentices in the residential field to join the team.

Short Electric is a smaller company that does both small and big projects. We mostly do residential custom homes and remodel projects. We also do apartment buildings and light commercial service work. Aside from that, we are a licensed dealer and installer or Kohler Generators and Control 4 home automation systems for homes and business.

What you as a worker can expect at Short Electric:

- Job security. As of now, there is 2 years' worth of work under contract.

- Power tools will be provided. This will be all cordless and checked out to you at the start of the job.

- After 6 months of good attendance, you will get 3 days of paid vacation.

- After 9 months of good attendance, you'll get $50 toward your cell phone bill.

What is needed from you before you start work:

- Transportation to the jobsites.

- Electrical hand tools. This includes the following: wire strippers, lineman pliers, level, side cutters, tool pouch, tape measure, knife, and screw drivers (straight blade 3/16, #2 Philips, and beater screw driver). All must be in good working condition.

- State of Nebraska and City of Omaha licenses.

- Ability to read a tape measure down to an 1/8".

Starting wage is $21+

We pay every week on Fridays.
