Grisamore Farms has an opening for a full time Farm Crew Member. This position will focus on helping maintain the farm to allow the business to flourish. The position will mostly be working with equipment (mowing) and handwork. You will report directly to the Farm Manager.

About Grisamore Farms:
We are a small family-owned and operated farm dedicated to providing fresh, locally grown, quality produce to our community. We are primarily a u-pick farm; we have apples, pumpkins, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, cherries and u-cut flowers. We also sell figs, peaches, onion, tomatoes, peppers and so much more that is pre-picked for our farm store. In the Spring we have a fully stocked greenhouse where we propagate and sell annual and bedding flowers from April until June.

Position Summary:
We are seeking someone who self-motivated and a hardworking individual to join our team. This is a physically demanding position that requires a lot of bending and lifting. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively are essential.

Responsibilities:


Field Work:

Mowing fields and maintaining pathways, as well as weed eating

Assisting with planting, weeding, and harvesting crops

Preparing fields for planting and harvesting

Maintaining farm equipment - basic maintenance and cleaning

Greenhouse Work:

Assisting with watering, seeding, transplanting, and maintaining healthy plants

Assisting with the care and maintenance of greenhouse structures
Customer Service:

Maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for customers

Assisting/cashier for customers at our greenhouse and farm stand (occasional)

Providing information about our produce, plants and farming practices

Qualifications:

Love of the outdoors and ability to work in all weather conditions

Strong work ethic and a passion for agriculture


Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Valid driver's license


The ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting a minimum of 50lbs, standing for long periods of time, mowing/weed eating regularly, etc. 


Experience with farm equipment (preferred)


Knowledge of basic gardening and horticultural practices (preferred)


Customer service skills and ability to use a cash register (on occasions)
