As part of the next phase in our growth, we are looking for a strong technical leader to define, implement and guide the adoption of key technical best practices for our DevOps Practice. We are on a LeSS inspired journey to help our Development teams to be as autonomous and productive as possible whilst also ensuring they embrace the Non Functional Requirements that will support our SRE and production support efforts. With developers across 20 locations, 5 continents, 2 hemispheres and multiple business units this will be a role which involves influencing both with and without authority. Technically you will understand, and be able to articulate the benefits and costs of CI/CD at scale, immutable infrastructure , Git Ops, Infra as Code and a best-in-class toolchain for a highly productive Developer Experience.The ideal candidate will be fanatical about repeatable process and automation, and understand the challenging decisions involved in creating scale, resilience, security and availability. The role will require co-ordination with DevOps, SRE, Architecture, Software Development and an ability to influence others. Job Responsibilities\: Primary Accountabilities\:• Define the technical strategy and architecture for a best-in-class Developer Experience for teams building on the Experian One Platform• You will have a deep understanding of a modern DevOps toolchain and technologies for Cloud/SaaS and be able to provide creative solutions to complex, technical challenges, being recognised as a technical subject matter expert• Define the technical strategy for CI/CD at speed and scale across a containerized, microservices based cloud platformSignificant Demands\:• Lives and breathes automation, engineering, DevOps and SRE• Can manage and achieve through others• Can drive through influence to deliver results in a global complex matrix organisation• Can work across boundaries and as part of a bigger whole to deliver change and outcomes at all levels and all functions• Operational discipline and can manage difficult situations and incidents if necessaryWorking Practices and Relationships\:• Key member of the Global DA DevOps Practice, driving the technical aspects of DevOps across Global DA• Interfacing with Experian technology services for common corporate tools• Work across multiple groups in development to resolve issues and drive close collaborationQualification: Candidate ProfileExperience\:• Technical lead/architect experience in a DevOps environment in mid to enterprise scale cloud businesses• Deep understanding of modern DevOps platforms and technologies - Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS• Global work environment, has driven technical strategy across globally distributed teams• Global vision - can drive for developer efficiency across a large business with huge growth potentialKey Behaviours\:• Excellent communication skills.
