Education Requirements This position requires the following minimum education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, or other related technical field.
Specific Job Requirements Provide direct technical support to the manufacturing and project management functions at the Lenoir facility. Manage small-med scale automation projects in collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality and other relevant functions. Job Task(s)
  • Generate and manage change requests and project plans and coordinate project activities.
  • Develop, execute, and interpret engineering study outcomes to effectively propose and implement appropriate manufacturing scale strategies and solutions.
  • Investigate critical manufacturing deviations using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and risk assessment tools. Develop and implement corrective actions to manufacturing excursions to ensure a reliable supply of product and prevent reoccurrence.
  • Assemble and analyze manufacturing data (i.e. process parameters, critical quality attributes, defect rates) to evaluate process robustness.
  • Lead equipment change management process of building automation systems (BAS).
  • Maintain installed building automation network through life-cycle planning and day to day troubleshooting and monitoring.
  • Support BAS network operator workstations, DDC field panels and third-party integration devices connected through LON, Ethernet, Siemens P2, or BACNET.

Job Specific Skill(s)
  • Display a solid understanding of automation, information technology and computer system administration good practices, industry standards and regulations.
  • Must be well versed in automation and control system disciplines; e.g. PLC, DCS, scalable systems, SCADA, Data Historian, Networks and high-level language programming.
  • Knowledge of GMP's, FDA guidelines (Data Integrity Industry Guidelines, 21CFR part 11, GAMP), purchasing practices and process validation.
