We are among the largest IT staffing companies in the US for contract/temporary and direct hire placements and support many of the top-rated IT companies in the US!Job Description:The IT Network Engineer/Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of network hardware and related infrastructure components to ensure adherence to the availability and performance levels desired by Business.Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to:Responsible for Network and Voice Infrastructure uptime commitments to BusinessDrive Network and Voice technician teams to deliver their KPIs on day-to-day basisMake recommendations in the development of network standards and operational procedures.Maintain site specific Network SOPsEvaluate and recommend new network and voice technologies to drive better user experience and cost optimizationContribute to and maintain system standards.Develop security techniques to protect company from loss of data through physical security, network security, and anti-virus/malware methods.Oversee and ensure t timely repair/replacement of, faulty network hardware.Maintain inventory of network equipment and parts and ensure timely renewal of maintenance contracts.Provide ongoing maintenance of existing network systems with the help of a team of Network and Voice techniciansTake ownership to resolve major LAN/WAN incidents and drive the Network and Voice technician teams to deliver uptime and performance SLAs to business. Provide L3+ guidance to the team if neededAssist in researching, proposing, and implementing new technologies and provide training as needed.Interface with third party support and vendors and attend various meetings and approved seminars related to computer technology.Respond to escalated requests for technical support via the ticketing system, telephone calls, and emails.Perform other duties and responsibilities as set forth by IT Management.Qualifications:A Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field is required OR 5 years related experience in lieu of degree required.Cisco Certified Network Associate certification desired.Minimum of 4 years direct Network Engineer/ Administrator experience required.Experience required in Cisco switches (Nexus, PoE, other), Cisco WAN, Cisco WLAN, - and Cisco VoIP. Meraki WiFi, Good knowledge of routing protocols, Routers and Cisco Firewalls, IPS technology, Link Load balancers.Lead or supervisory experience desired.Must have experience dealing with servers, LAN, IP Phone and WAN systems analysis and support.Proficiency with advanced vocational/ specialized knowledge, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Independently performs a broad range of technical, computer-related tasks under general supervision. Exercises independent judgment and decision making in the diagnosis and resolution of computer, network, and server hardware and software problems.Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 30 lbs unassisted.
