The Educational Services Manager is responsible for the direction and supervision of all current Northwest Community Action Center (NCAC) school-based programs and contracts with a combined annual budget of approximately $3 million. This person will be responsible to ensure coordinated and integrated services of all NCAC school-based programs, directly supervising approximately 5-7 full-time program supervisors, and general oversight of 25 full-time employees and 300 part-time employees.

The ability to understand and interpret federal educational program regulations.

Knowledge and experience managing budgets and applying for grants.

A clear communicator who is able to build strong, positive relationships with staff, organization leadership, community partners, and Yakima Valley School Districts.

Strong skills and experience in leadership and supervisory roles.

Positive and friendly demeanor, able to work well with strong personalities.

A strong relationship with schools, experience with school, and student supports.

Grant management experience.

What you'll do:

Manage multiple programs and sites in partnerships with lower Yakima Valley school districts including the 21st CCLC, RTL, Be Smart, ConneX, Safe Haven, and any future school-based programs at the NCAC.

Manage department workflows, schedules, and maintain adequate staffing levels.

Develop and implement annual department work plan including forecasting equipment needs and capacity requirements.

Coordinate educational programs, establishing short-term, mid-term, and long-term strategic plans.

Visit schools and other program sites in person to monitor program performance.

Write grant applications and solicit the expertise of a grant writer to secure funding and evaluate programs funded.

Monitor staff compliance with policies, procedures and standards of YVFWC.

Train and develop staff, identifying job performance needs, providing training and coaching for performance improvement.

Communicate progress regularly, involving the NCAC Director in decision making processes.

What do you need?

Bachelor's Degree in Education, Counseling, Business Administration, Psychology, Social Services, Communications or related field. Bachelor's Degree may be substituted with 4 years of experience in program management and supervision of program staff in an educational or social services setting.

Four years of experience in program development and management and budget management including two years of experience in a supervisory position.

Experience working with community agencies and direct client services.

Current WA State driver's license and proof of auto liability coverage.

Bilingual English/Spanish skills are helpful but not required.
