Full Job Description

Big Island Motors Kona is looking for an Automotive Porter / Lot Attendant. Fast paced, busy new & used car dealer. Moves and cleans vehicles, keeps the vehicles in sound working condition, and helps sales manager as requested. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES (Other duties may be assigned):

Follow Instructions as given by management

Maintains new and used vehicle inventory appearance and performance, by cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles.

Wash and gas sold vehicles.

Places buyer guides and stock tags in vehicles.

Keeps new and used vehicle lots neat and orderly.

Move cars as directed by the sales manager and in accordance with dealership display standards.

Drives vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed.

Stock in new vehicles and make key tags for vehicles.

Performs other duties as assigned, including driving distances for dealer trades.

Maintains appearance of dealership grounds. Weed removal, trash removal.

Run errands to pick up and/or deliver items/people as requested

Photography of dealer inventory for website

Greet each guest in a prompt, courteous manner 100% of the time and determine the nature of their visit and graciously provide the service

Performs other duties as assigned and assist Sales Manager as requested

Requirements:

Valid Driver's License

Basic ability to work with a PC, email, cell phone, iPad

Clean Driver’s Abstract

Clean and neat appearance

Must be able and ready to come to work on time, and not be late, tardy, or absent.

Must have good judgement, ability to follow instructions, ability to learn quickly, and follow all company procedures and policies.

Shoes must always be worn while on the property

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Must be able to move or lift 60-80 lbs

Work with water hoses

Work with high pressure washer
