Paradyme is actively looking for IT talent to join our Digital Transformation practice and be immersed into DevOps, DevSecOps, Cloud, CI/CD, and Open Source programming on Agile teams. We are seeking candidates with the right education, work ethic, and passion for NextGen technology. The Software Developer will work with the Architect/Tech Lead and Lead Business Analyst in the design, development, and deployment of software and application updates and new developments. This position requires an Active Top Secret clearance, and the willingness/ability to obtain an SCI.
Responsibilities:- Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement software.
- Implementation and development of large multi-tier API / web services, data integrations and related web applications
- Developer applications with an understanding of API / web service architectures and concerns - Microservices, SOA, security, high availability, load, performance, encryption etc…
- Troubleshoot production problems related to software applications.
- Research, test, build, and integrates enhancements or new products based on client requirements.
- Develop new major software products or major enhancements to existing software.
- Prepare and provide software-related documentation.
- Provide status reports for ongoing work.
- Coordinate and addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms when necessary.
- Consult with Lead Business Analyst to identify application requirements.
- Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools.
- Active Top Secret Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related discipline.
- 5+ years’ experience in software development and applications programming.
- Experience leading Agile software development methodologies or best practices (preferably SAFe / Scaled Agile).
- Experience in DevSecOps/DevOps development methodology (ie. CI/CD, Automation, Build/Release, etc.).
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C#, JavaScript frameworks, and/or Python programming languages.
- Certified Scrum practitioner (Certified Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Product Owner, or Certified Scrum Developer)
- Experience using and developing RESTful APIs using JSON, RSS, NewsML and other API formats.
- Experience with mobile applications (iOS, Android)
- Experience using and developing SOAP Webservices APIs using XML formats.
- Experience with event-based and message-driven distributed systems
- Knowledge of data stores and related topics - NoSQL and RDBMS -
- Experience with dependency management, build & release and automation tools
