Job Summary:Directs the vision and implementation strategies for the generation of philanthropic funds for Cleveland Clinic priorities. Secures philanthropic gifts through a process of identifying, qualifying, strategizing, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major gift prospects. Manages a team of development professionals, volunteers, Leadership Board members and administrative activities.Responsibilities:Directs the vision and implementation strategies for the generation of philanthropic funds for Cleveland Clinic priorities.

Promotes collaboration between staff.

Provides leadership for the effective and efficient operation of area of assigned responsibility.

Achieves significant dollar goals and is responsible for the success of campaigns for capital, programmatic, research, endowment and operating support for Cleveland Clinic.

Manages the area and supervises assigned employees.

Establishes a program of personal visits with past, current and prospective donors, as appropriate.

Ensures that donors are properly advised as to the financial options available, projects and needs.

Develops funding proposals.

Ensures the transfer of funds, property, etc. to Cleveland Clinic.

Represent Philanthropy as a member of the local Executive Team, promoting a culture of Philanthropy

Manage Board/Board/ad hoc Committees as assigned

Manage Budgets as assigned

Other duties as assigned.

Education:Bachelor's Degree required.

Advanced degree preferred.

Ability to perform well in a collaborative environment. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Physical Requirements:High stress and multitasking environment; extended work days; travel.
