MULTIPLE POSITIONS WILL BE FILLED FROM THIS RECRUITMENT Responsible for sorting incoming mail for approximately 175 offices. Sorts and bundles all mail that is destined for departments on mail route. Delivers and picks up mail at various departments. Picks up and delivers mail to and from the U.S. Postal Service.Type of RecruitmentKnowledge, skills and abilitiesDemonstrated ability to operate a 3/4 ton cargo van to deliver and pick up mail at the U.S. Post Offfice and approximatley 40 departments on and off campus. Demonstrated abiltiy to sort incoming mail for approximatley 175 offices. Demonstrated ability to acquire signatures for all accountable mail on route. Prepare off campus mail for postage. Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. Postal Service regulations and rates. Demonstrates strong interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to lift, pull and load 40 – 70 lbs several times a day.Special licenses, registration or certification Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.Education or training NoneLevel and type of experienceSome experience in a customer service oriented environment.Preferred knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, licensure, certificationSeveral years experience in a Post Office or institutional Mail Center.
