JOB SUMMARYVaco Technology is currently seeking qualified Sr. Network/System Engineer Team Leads with extensive experience working within managed services or large-scale service provider environments, with expertise in network and systems infrastructure. This will be a contract-to-hire employment opportunity with full benefits and incentives, based in Baltimore, Maryland. Employment Type: Contract-To-Hire

Compensation: Based on experience, $110,000 - $115,000

Travel: Possibly up to 25%, as needed

Job Summary: As a Network/Systems Engineer Team Lead, you will be responsible for working with a team small, close-knit team that is responsible for the maintenance, deployments, and upgrades for the network and systems infrastructure for managed services of clients across multiple data centers. The Network/Systems Engineer Team Lead will coach and develop other members of the team, focusing on network, systems, virtualization, storage and compute issues for the managed services of client infrastructure environments.

Scope:
  • Supporting customer specialized solutions that involve network, systems and virtualization tasks
  • Supporting, maintaining, upgrading and deploying Cisco and Juniper network devices - routers, switches, firewalls, AP's, etc.
  • Supporting server configurations and upgrades, to include automation of tasks and working with automation tools
  • Developing, configuring and supporting physical and virtual servers (VMWare)
  • Creating standard operating procedures (SOP) guidelines and documents for client and internal knowledge repositories
  • Participating in on-call rotation support

Requirements: A minimum of 5 years experience in supporting the following:
  • Working in managed services or large-scale service provider environments supporting multiple distributed data centers
  • Supporting basic network infrastructure - routers, switches, firewalls, access points, etc.
  • Basic scripting experience in PowerShell, Python, Bash, Batch, etc.
  • Configuration, deployment, maintenance and support of physical and virtual servers environments, to include VMware and administration of virtualized environments
  • Supporting Windows Server and Windows Operating Systems, as well as Linux OS environments
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies, and multi-task within complex data center environments
