job summary:Randstad Technologies is currently searching for a Systems Administrator to fill a permanent position in Nashville, TN. Qualified candidates should have at least 3 years of experience as administrating servers and related technologies in a modern IT environment. The primary responsibility for this role is to maintain the availability and security of network and servers for business users. You will design and develop network and server implementations and changes to support all business systems and applications; provide second level Service Desk support, including participation in calls as needed; control user access permissions to network and server resources; coordinate with the IT Operations Manager on software licensing, facilities infrastructure, network hardware and software purchases, and operational issues. Additionally you will work with the applications development staff on development, testing, and deployment and coordinate with external consulting and technical resources as needed. Technical skills required include Windows Servers, HyperV, VOIP Support, patching. Desired skills include Powershell and MS Azure expreince. location: NASHVILLE, Tennesseejob type: Permanentsalary: $65,000 - 70,000 per yearwork hours: 8am to 5pmeducation: High School responsibilities:This position is responsible for maintaining the availability and security of our network and server resources - Responsibilities: - Develop, plan and design network and server implementations and changes to support all business systems and applications - Control user access permissions to network and server resources and all other network security issues - Monitor availability of network and server resources and responds to problems and issues - Design, implement, document, monitor and test all backup and recovery procedures - Manage software updates and patches to maintain security and availability of network, and servers - Maintain anti-virus, anti-spam, and anti-spyware systems and perform recovery from any unblocked attack - Maintain complete documentation of the network and server resources - Coordinates network hardware maintenance and repairs - Coordinate with the IT Operations Manager on software licensing, facilities infrastructure, network hardware and software purchases, and operational issues - Coordinate with the applications development staff on development, testing, and deployment - Install and maintain all server, network, and VoIP equipment - Coordinate with external consulting and technical resources - Provide second level Service Desk support as needed, including participation in on call schedule - Perform special projects and other duties as assigneThe essential functions of this role include:
