job summary:The technical engineer will support the implementation of plans for the evolution of Enterprise wide services, such as authentication, telephony, video conferencing, email, collaboration, and desk top virtualization and look to evolving technologies to increase the services provided to improve the enterprise based services. The successful candidate will also participate in technical projects by providing technical expertise and working cross functionally to implement scalable service solutions. Additional duties include processing technical support tickets, generating/updating team documentation as required, and performing service checks for the deployed enterprise environment. location: Medford, Massachusettsjob type: Contractwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: Bachelors responsibilities:As part of the Enterprise and System Services team, the contributor will primarily help with our MS SCCM deployment activities.The responsibilities include building packages for deployment, executing and managing deployments, and reporting on deployments.The desired skills: Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) PowerShell scripting VMWare vSphere management Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy Object (GPO)The scope of deployments includes public compute as well faculty and staff machines.There are many possible additional initiatives that we would be interested in including: setting up baselines, alerts and reporting as well as advancements in SCCM usage that you may be familiar with (e.g. Cloud Management Gateway).Additional duties include processing technical support tickets, generating/updating team documentation as required, and performing service checks for the deployed enterprise environment. qualifications:
