The Design Leader is accountable for the deliverables of his HW Metier to ensure the success of the project, responsible for the detailed scheduling and budgeting of his HW Metier activities, with support of HW Metier Department Manager / HW Metier Team Leader. Functionally manages a group of engineers / technicians in a given HW Metier. Leads the team by managing their activities and supports quotations and risk evaluation.Responsibilities:● Plan, monitor and control activities according to HW Metier Development Plan following CLEAN Project Management● In charge of product robust design & validation in line with the economical targets● Study /Review Internal & Customer Requirements, Specifications● Carry out HW architecture / design justification / design Validation● Applies Standardization rules, exceptionally will request destandardizations based on justifications● Contributes to new standards and rules● Responsible for HW Metier design reviews preparation● Interface with the customer for the HW Metier content● Report and escalate to the Product Technical Mngr/Leader/Eng and his HierarchicalDetailed scheduling and budgeting:● Contribute to the identification of the needs in terms of resources, equipment’s, investments● Establish details breakdown of the activities to meet the milestones● Follow activities and spending of his scope to meet his allowed budget and timingManagement of the contributors:● Daily management of his team● Assign to them the work packages needed● Regular review with his/her Hierarchical to check alignment between needs and availabilitiesSupport for quotations:● Build HW Metier technical offer and identify associated risks● Define HW Metier R&D effort associated to product development● Is responsible of the HW Metier technical and support for cost outputRequirements:Bachelor degree in Engineering
5/10+ years of experience in the related HW Metier in automotive engineering or relevant industries
