Student Services Specialist9:00am-3:00pm Monday-FridayLong Term Temporary positionMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Education or related fieldTwo (2) years of relevant work experience (similar to duries listed below)Knowledge of Education Opportunity Center (EOC) program service areas (i.e. Escambia and Santa Rosa counties)Good communication and office management skills preferredDescription:Collect and assemble information on the academic and financial assistance opportunities in the surrounding target areaPromote the purpose and services provided by the EOCRecruit and select participants who are eligible and need project servicesProvide the information and personal assistance necessary to assess and place participants in postsecondary education programsAssist participants in completing applications for financial aid and admissionsAdminister and interpret career interest inventoriesManage student recordsParticipate in the program evaluation, on-going monitoring and reportingCollarborate and work cooperatively with area schools and agenciesCounsel participants to overcome obstacles to educational success
