We are looking for a Data Entry Clerk to type information into our database from paper documents. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy and a fast typist with a keen eye for detail. You will report to a data manager or another senior data team member. Understanding of data confidentiality principles is compulsory.
Data Entry Clerk Responsibilities:Retrieves source files and work from various sources each dayVerifies and logs the receipt of data and obtains any data that is missingUses data entry equipment to record assigned dataResolves minor processing problems; seeks assistance from a supervisor or other appropriate staff for issues beyond immediate expertiseMaintains confidentiality of sensitive informationPerforms other administrative/clerical duties as assignedAnswer phones
Data Entry Clerk Skills and Abilities:Excellent and precise data entry and typing skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Good organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to keep the information confidentialAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionData Entry Clerk Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent requiredSome data entry experience preferred
Work Environment:This job operates in a professional/educational environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit at desk area, communicate via phone/face to face, manually input data into a computer, walk to different office areas, reach with hands and arms, and lifting a minimum of 25 lbs.
