Summary of Responsibilities:
As Project Manager/Lead Carpenter for S.J. Janis, your day will be action-packed! No one day is the same as the next as you take charge onsite at various custom residential remodeling projects. This role is the primary interface with the company’s leaders, architects, field staff, and customers.
You will manage and mentor the carpentry team, jumping in as needed bags on. Other key components of the role include scheduling and coordinating suppliers and trade contractors, and assuring materials and supplies are in place daily for each project.
Put your excellent customer interface capabilities to work as some homeowners will remain on site during projects. All of this adds up to success with the completion of beautiful projects clients will love, on-time and within budget, with the recognition of your dedication to excellence through the encouragement and support of the owners and your team!
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
Must be a high-character individual, who can build trust and respect amongst the team and our clients
Must naturally possess the traits of honesty and integrity
Ability to execute work at a very high level of quality and efficiency
Ability to take on complex tasks for successful execution of the plan
Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
Must have consistent and effective verbal and written communication
Should have mastery of basic hand tools at a minimum
Will bring a proven ability to set an example and take pride in work
Must be a resourceful problem-solver with a CAN-DO attitude
Must have the ability to pass a criminal background check
Possesses a minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in residential remodeling with at least five years as a Project
Manager or Lead Carpenter, supervising small teams
High school diploma or equivalent is required
Job Requirements and Compensation:
Full-time, 40 hours per week
Mon-Fri, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with some flexibility on start and end times
Hourly wage, experience and performance-based, paid bi-weekly
Paid vacation and holidays
Health insurance
Monthly allowances for car, cell phone, vehicle magnet sign, and tools
Company profit-sharing program (if eligible)
