Medicaid Billing Specialist

Full Time Benefit Eligible

Anchorage - Monday through Friday 8:00 to 5:00.

Summary/Objective:

Process Medicaid Billing, review remittance forms for reimbursement, be the administrator of the Home Health, Therap/EVV internal Databases, and MMIS Medicaid Portal, use billing software to submit, track and obtain Service Authorizations and extensions (SA’s).

Required Education:

Associates Degree or equivalent skills Certifications and Experience

Preferred Experience:

Two (2) years of Medicaid, Private Pay and VA billing

Soft Skills:

Industry-Specific Knowledge to Manage Medicaid, VA, and Private Pay Accounts Detail Oriented Communication Active Listening Customer Service Interpersonal Conversation Patience Empathy

Hard Skills:

Computer Excel Microsoft Office to include Teams Certification Automated Billing Systems Research Payment Processing Database Management Reporting Data Analysis Finance Forecasting Basic Writing

Expectations

High degree of accuracy, in-depth knowledge of HIPAA compliance and processes for confidential handling of sensitive and private information

Salary

$17.24 to $21.21 DOE
