INDEPENDENT LIVING ADVOCATE GENERAL

Access Alaska is seeking a qualified individual to fill a full-time Independent Living Advocate position. An ideal candidate will be compassionate, resourceful, and be familiar with community resources. This position will actively assist persons experiencing The IL Advocate through knowledge, skill and experience can assist Consumers to overcome barriers and acquire life skills so they can achieve physical and emotional Independence. This position provides information on various types of vocational, educational, housing and transportation information. Helps develop treatment plans; networks in the community in addition provides necessary referrals, services and advocacy.

Position Requirements
BA/BS in Human Services preferred; Two (2) years of college or equivalent work experience.
Experience working directly with clients or consumers.
Mental health experience preferred

$17.24 - $21.21 DOE
