Health Aide-Personal Assistant-House Manager sought by a professional semi-retired gay couple with some health issues.

-Male strongly preferred, but not required.

-This is a long-term position.

Perfect for mature person with family experience, an evening student, a PCA,CNA, HHCA or LPN seeking non-agency family work.

Two (2) weeks of paid training provided, shadowing the current Personal Assistant-House Manager.

FINANCES:

-The starting salary is: $41,600/yr.

-Four holiday working bonuses or days off.

-Two (2) weeks of paid vacation time.

-Flexible for personal needs, etc.

DAYS and TIMES:

Mon.-Fri., 7 1/2 hours per day.

FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE

Any times between 9:30 a.m., finishing by 5:30 p.m. would be fine. A specific daily starting time required.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1-PERSONAL ASSISTANT:

=Empathy, patience and understanding for health issues

=Hands-on personal assistance and related tasks daily.

=Maintain and upkeep of a weekly calendar, i.e. doctors'/general appointments.

=Errands: super market, post office, pharmacy, etc.

=Medical visits.

2-SIMPLE HOME-STYLE NUTRITION for two very light eaters:

=Light breakfast: cereal; egg sandwich, coffee.

=Light lunch: sandwiches; soup.

=Dinner: cooked supper; left-overs, salad.

=Daily snacks.

=Weekend meal prep for Fri-Sun.

=Groceries weekly for perishables. Large grocery orders online.

=Must maintain an immaculate kitchen.

3-HOUSE CARE:

DAILY:

=Straightening of den, bedrooms and bathrooms.

=Attention to one room or area per day.

=Daily trash

WEEKLY:

=Two (2) beds and bedrooms

=Trash and recycling out, 2x/week.

=Disposal of cardboard every other week

=Plant care

=Manage deliveries and returns in a timely manner.

=No large laundry. Gather, send-out, put away. (Occasional small loads of laundry at home.)

4-DOG CARE:

=Food: make up 4 bowls daily

=Meds/Vet visits: as needed

=Clean and maintain PAVED dog yard daily; weekly hose down.

=YES, THIS MEANS THE POOPER SCOOPER! (We have all kinds of implements, deodorants, etc.)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

=English proficiency.

=Empathy and capability with health issues.

=Easy going, good conversationalist, music, You Tube, social media aware.

=Experienced home cooking.

=Household handy: lift 30 lb./change bulb/hang hook/unclog drain/use stepladder/assemble Ikea, etc.

=Computer/printer literate.

=Strong household management and organizational skills, detail oriented.

=Willing and able to come in case of very rare emergency.

=Manage a light weight wheelchair.

=Live within 30 minutes of Denville/Parsippany.

=Valid N.J. driver's license with reliable vehicle for adverse weather conditions, GPS.

=Professional demeanor and confidentiality.
