Ideal candidate will have 3 to 4 years of experience in factory maintenance including both mechanical and electrical maintenance.Responsibilities:Performs daily preventive maintenance.Troubleshoots and repairs problems with all equipment (production, facilities, auxiliary, etc.)Locates electrical and mechanical trouble by using available test equipment (meters, meggers, strobelights, etc.)Repairs and/or replaces defective electrical and mechanical equipmentTroubleshoots and repairs electrical/electronic control circuits for AC/DC motor circuitsDiagnoses, analyzes and repairs electronic, electro-mechanical and instrumentation equipment, operating in all areas, utilizing meters, gauges and other testing methodsInstalls, repairs, adjusts and calibrates various types of measuring, recording and controlling equipment necessary to monitor or run manufacturing linesTroubleshoots PLC hardwareOriginates and processes urgent work orders when neededUpdates daily maintenance activities in logbooksRecommends necessary parts for repairs and maintenance with assistance from themaintenance and engineering teamsSubmits all modifications made to equipment during repairs (i.e. updating schematics, drawings, etc.) to lead technicians for updateGood working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic devices and principlesSuggests maintenance items to be included in preventive maintenance programAssists in writing and updating standard maintenance and safety proceduresFamiliarizes self with new equipment and assists in training other techniciansStays informed of operational activities and process changes which may affect the normal operation of the equipmentAssists in the installation of new equipment and equipment modification projectsRecords all measurements during predictive and preventive maintenance activities to generate statistical charts for analysisAssists with training needs in areas of familiarityHas knowledge of and adheres to all departmental rules, regulations, and proceduresMaintains a team effort attitude and approachOther duties as determined by company needsWorking hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)Skills:Must have working knowledge of production and support equipment and related controls.Must be able to operate in a team environment, remaining flexible to multiple demands.Excellent communication and people skills are necessary along with detail orientation.Must be able to read prints, assembly drawings, and electrical schematics.Welding ability is preferrable.Education:High SchoolExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent required.Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal history background check.Must be able to stand for duration of shift.Apply online today or call us at 828-348-0390!Spherion has helped thousands of people just like you find work happiness!
