Preschool and Daycare Educator Position

Position Overview

We are seeking a serious applicant with experience teaching in a group setting to join our private, home-based Preschool and Daycare facility. Our center has earned five-star ratings and prides itself on providing exceptional early childhood education. The ideal candidate will be committed, fun, and energetic, with a genuine enthusiasm for young children’s development and learning.

Key Responsibilities

Lead a classroom of 6-8 toddlers and preschoolers in daily activities designed to prepare them for the transition to preschool and kindergarten.

Ease children into the routines and expectations of organized education, helping them adapt smoothly to school life.

Teach essential skills and concepts that children will encounter upon entering formal schooling.

Candidate Qualities

Demonstrates great love, passion, punctuality, multitasking ability, commitment, and patience for working with children.

Capable of caring for, connecting with, building relationships with, and instructing children effectively.

Knowledgeable about best practices and educational methods relevant to preschool-aged children.

Skilled at engaging children, earning their trust and attention, and fostering meaningful interaction.

Position Goals

The primary goal of this position is to support the healthy mental and emotional development of each child, enabling them to acclimate easily to the next stage of their education.

Must Have Skills and Qualifications:

> Experience teaching preschools in group setting.

> Fun, creative, energetic, initiative-taking, and personable

> Proven experience working with at least with 6-8 young toddlers-preschool age children in group setting.

> Exceptional understanding of the principles of child development

> Familiarity with health and safety practice in the classrooms

> Excellent communication and instructional skills

> Ability to function as mediator between children

> Cool-tempered, warm, friendly, and dependable

> Balance between an inventive mind and a practical acumen.

Job Description:

- Develop a careful and creative program suitable for children

- Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media, arts and crafts etc.) to teach children

- Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem

- Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments

- Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.)

- Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times

- Track children's progress report to present to parents

- Collaborate with the main provider and other child care worker for social emotional skills activities

- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

- Create a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for the children

- Supervise children's activities at all times

- Supervise children for naps and bedtime

- Potty train the children

- Teach the children good social manners

- Maintain professionalism in punctuality and dressing.

Education: Proof of transcript of Early Childhood Education - Child Development (Required)

Experience: Childcare: 2 year (Required)

Must have requirements and license/Certification:

1. Active Pediatric CPR and First Aid in infant, child and adult Certification (Required)

2. Mandated Reporter Training Certification (Required)

3. Proof of complete vaccination and TB clearance result (required)

Job Type: Full-Time and Part-Time

Salary: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule: Day shift 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
