Irrigation Technician

Position Summary:
Irrigation Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing residential and commercial irrigation systems. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a crew.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and repair irrigation system issues (valves, wiring, leaks, controllers, etc.)
Perform start-ups, shut-downs, and routine system checks
Install new irrigation systems and components
Program and adjust irrigation controllers
Identify water-efficiency improvements and make recommendations
Communicate clearly with customers and office staff
Maintain accurate service records
Qualifications:
1–3+ years of irrigation experience preferred (but willing to train the right candidate)
Knowledge of irrigation components, wiring, and system layout
Ability to read plans and understand zone layouts (preferred)
Valid driver’s license with good driving record
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail

Landscape Lighting (Additional Responsibilities / Opportunities)
Candidates with experience in outdoor lighting will have opportunities to assist with:
Installation of low-voltage landscape lighting systems
Troubleshooting lighting circuits, transformers, and fixtures
Upgrading existing lighting to energy-efficient LED systems
Adjusting and aiming fixtures to achieve optimal night-time effects
Routine maintenance, wire repairs, and timer/transformer programming
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday–Friday (occasional Saturdays if needed)
